Steep is a... kind way to describe it. I have a couple websites that run Drupal underneath and you are spot-on about the community. The added complexity for Drupal lends to its flexibility as a platform and that makes it really useful as a development base.

That said, it is just too much for a simple blog. I manage probably 8 different websites for church groups, friends, etc... and between WordPress and a couple plug-ins it takes me maybe 20 minutes a week to keep them running. I could spend 20 minutes on Drupal trying to remember which context associated my calendar block to its corresponding feature.

I'm curious, Bobby, have you tried Drupal? Even though I feel like the days are numbered for any PHP driven CMS i absolutely LOVE the community around Drupal. I think a lot of the core FSF philosophy of Drupal's base was shored up by for profit developers having Joomla to rally around. Be warned, the learning curve can seem steeper than it actually is, but only at first.

Hey, be nice! I haven't said anything bad about your beloved cowboys (and I even root for them when they aren't playing OU.)

Besides, you have to admit that it is a gorgeous picture!
